Website Design by RhettRO Creative Web Design "Getting my makeup done by Ashlee was like eating chocolate for the first time."- client, Teresa That about sums up how I want women to have felt about their  professional makeup experience at Let's Face It Makeup Studio.  I  have created a fun and relaxing environment where clients can book  professional makeup appointments for a variety of occasions. Artistry  training, consistency in product knowledge and honest selling  methods are what there is a lack of in the makeup industry.  There is  nothing worse than a woman leaving a makeup counter with a bag  full of makeup that doesn’t look good on her, that she doesn’t need,  and that she doesn’t have a clue how to use when she gets home.  Nothing is more frustrating than hearing an account of a bad makeup  experience a bride (or anyone for that matter) has had with someone  who is inexperienced with the proper types of makeup, colors, or  formulas to use. This will definitely not be the case when she leaves  Let’s Face It. I have also based my makeup studio concept on reversing the  negative effects that so many of my clients have experienced due to  disappointing experiences within the cosmetic industry.  I want  women to be excited about doing their makeup and/or having it put  on. My personal philosophy is that makeup is to enhance your  features not mask them. I also encourage seeking one's own inner  beauty and to be confident with how God made us. That is not easy  to do...even for me. Our society and culture is extremely superficial  and we compare ourselves to unattainable and fake images we see  smeared across magazines and television everyday. So, many of us  feel inadequate and 'not pretty' due to life experiences as well. I  have full experience in this area, as I have come through many trials in my life. So, I implement a  genuine, down-to-earth and caring approach towards Let's Face It's very versatile clientele. I promote the purest mineral makeup line available today, Jane Iredale the skincare makeup. This line  was developed exclusively for estheticians, and is also found in medical spas, and recommended by  plastic surgeons and dermatologists. I am however priviledged to be able to sell it at Let's Face It Makeup Studio.  Jane Iredale's makeup is non-cancer causing, and not formulated with oil, talc, FD&C dyes,  synthetic preservatives, parabens or fragrance, so even the most sensitive skin will feel amazing. It is  non-comedogenic.  The pressed, loose and tinted moisturizer mineral foundations all come with a  physical sunscreen. This means it lays across your skin 'like a mirror' and refracts what hits it, allowing  your skin to breath. This is also why the makeup wears for hours on end.  It's foundation packaging also  comes with the official stamp of the Skin Cancer Foundation. Check out safecosmetics.org for more  information on what kind of ingredients 'really' are in cosmetics and the cancer causing factors associated with such chemicals, etc. Jane Iredale makeup looks fresh and flawless on the skin. The wide variety of  foundations for varying skin-types are mega water-resistant and formulated for beautiful, all day wear.  I  have watched countless times over the years how this makeup has improved severe acne, rosacea,  aging/poor textured skin, and much more. This makeup has transformed my skin. This is also why so  many brides, photographers and everyday women can't get enough of the makeup formulations I use.  Book an appointment today for a variety of professional makeup services. Check out what I have to offer  on my services page.  I also promote Juice Beauty, a basic organic skin care line that is very effective.  It is "certified organic" (which is different from companies that make organic claims on their packaging),  and even some of their products are USDA certified. Let's Face It also has a fun boutique that carries  exclusive products for great gifts, brides and more. I was born in Dallas, Texas. Being a Dallas girl and raised amidst the glamorous world of figure skating  in the early 1980's definitely has influenced the super-glam spin I like to put into my style of  professional makeup.  Women in Texas wear more makeup than anywhere else in the world, and we  are proud of it! These reasons are why being a professional makeup artist is in my blood. It is a  passion that drives me to create, enhance, and beautify no matter what the race, age, or size of the  pocket book. In fact, when I can't create...I get depressed...because I am an artist, and artists need to constantly create their art. I bring experience that is unsurpassed to West Texas.  I studied theater makeup as a theater major in  college.  My extensive work with many cosmetic lines such as Lancome, Estee Lauder, TIGI Bed Head,  Paula Dorf, La Prairie, Darphin, Alexandra DeMarkoff and more, gives me an edge about cosmetic  industry product knowledge. I have traveled for Estee Lauder as a regional makeup artist doing  makeup around Texas, as well as, in high end stores such as Neiman Marcus; working along side  premier and celebrity makeup artists. I also served as a free-lance artist for Lancome, traveling around  the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. From 2000 to 2005 I worked for TIGI Bed Head hair care and  cosmetics in trademarks/intellectual property, marketing, and product development. This eventually  led to me developing limited edition color makeup collections, formulations, and professional haircare  products, such as TIGI's S-Factor haircare line. I also had the opportunity to be the makeup artist for  reality tv actress and renowned motorcycle & swimsuit model, Deborah 'Lil Debbie' Beal. My makeup  on Debbie was featured on the July 2006 cover of Easyriders. I was also hired by the MAC pro-store  before leaving Dallas to live in Midland.  Later, my former boss, and  friend founded Lucky 11 products.  I helped her with the initial  product testing and packaging for Cheer Chics, Dance Dolls and Diva  Chics. These lines are boutique-style salon-quality hair and body care products. I have also worked in cosmetic counter business & sales  management for Estee Lauder, and was the on-site makeup artist for  Julian Gold, a privately owned high end retailer located in Midland, for two years.  For the last several  years I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with award-winning director/producer Jon Lindgren of  Viamedia, for commercials and documentaries such as Wildcatters. This took me down a path I had never  traveled...doing HD/broadcast makeup on well over 50 famous oil men, lobbyists and renowned  economists for the cable series, and boy did I learn a lot!  Mastering HD/Broadcast makeup helped open  the door in teaching several news anchors/reporters for News West 9 to learn how to apply their own  makeup for broadcast television.   In 2009 I was the professional "Marilyn Monroe" look alike and main hostess of the evening for the  Museum of the Southwest's tri-annual blacktie charity event "An Evening With The Classics". This also  included costuming and doing the makeup for several classic Hollywood celebrity look alikes, such as  James Dean, the Godfather, and Scarlet O'Hara.  I have taught makeup classes for the Midland College  School of Cosmetology and am also a member of the Permian Basin Bridal Association. In 2010, I was the  Creative Director for the Permian Basin Bridal Association's fashion show  "Colours of Couture".  Currently, Let's Face It Makeup Studio is the official  makeup sponsor for the Tall City Roller Betties roller derby team.   I also find that it is important to make others aware about MAAS. I have  served on the board for MAAS, Midland Area Aids Support, since 2006, and find the cause very important.  Age groups 13 to 24 are the highest growing demographic to contract HIV infection nationally. HIV infection  is a major problem in Midland and surrounding areas, especially in our high schools, etc.  Education, tolerance and awareness is key to the  fight against HIV/Aids. www.ribbonsoflight.org  I am married to my amazing husband Luke.  We have two beautiful children, Kellen and Savannah.  God is first in my life and my faith in  Christ is what drives me to pursue success.  I am not afraid to boast about what God has done to work miracles in my life and for those  around me.  He gave me the talent that made my dreams happen, and I use my faith and experiences to help encourage and influence the  many clients of all backgrounds that I come in contact with.  "You do not have, because you do not ask God." James 4:2 Kara, a beautiful Let's Face It  Makeup Studio client, friend, and  rodeo diva in her Jane Iredale  makeup at Texas High School  Rodeo State Finals. Hours of roping  and riding in the hot June sun in  Texas did not phase the highly  water resistant Jane Iredale  makeup she wears.
